Presenter Bio
Attachment, Trauma Work, and Resiliency have consistently been my focus, over the last few decades, in the studying and training of my undergrad and graduate programs. As someone, who endured and overcame obstacles in life, I became passionate to help someone else.
As a relationship therapist, I help clients to rebuild, strengthen, and practice skills in the relationship within themselves that helps transcend and transform an authentic relationship with others. The focus is the myriad attached to the Self of human experience. Marriages play into a Stance of being reactive, detached, anxious, and preoccupied that the underlying conflict does not get resolved or a sense of relief does not last. These Stances play into a Rule Book that we create and practice over time. With couples therapy and coaching, I lead couples with a range of backgrounds and complexities to experience new possibilities in their relationship.
As a specialist in Marriage and Family Therapy and Child Development, I led the family therapy program for a teen girl’s residential treatment center, partial hospitalization program, and adoption agency. I have worked alongside law enforcement in crisis interventions. And I helped girls who were rescued from human trafficking through a process of stabilization from a dysregulated state. Each of these seasons of training led me into focusing on recreating a rhythm of presence, connection, and purpose.
With my husband of 20 years, adult son, and two children, we travel and experience more of what Texas offers. With the strengths of strategy, responsibility, communication, relator, and woe, I bring these strengths to the forefront of my practice and way of life.
